Patient: Younus Eesee Obaid Almatwari

Country: Iraq

Disease: Parkinson’s

Doctor: Dr Atul Prasad

Younus Eesee Obaid Almatwari came to India for his treatment along with his son from Iraq. Younus had lost control of his hands which kept on shaking. Younus didn’t know the exact condition he was suffering from despite consulting with dozens of doctors in Iraq. This made him want to consider medical treatment outside of his country.

Younus’s family have already had a positive experience with BLK Super Speciality Hospital in New Delhi, which motivated him to opt for the same setting.

Upon Younus’s arrival in India, the medical staff obviously diagnosed the patient, running multiple tests to detect the cause of his problem, and his reports showed that he was suffering from Parkinson’s Disease.

Dr Atul Prasad, the director and HOD of Neurology department at the BLK Hospital managed his case and was able to treat him.
