Anokye Supremo visits India for Eye Surgery
Anokye Supremo, a popular name of the Ghanaian Music Industry was recently flown to India to undergo a surgical procedure for the removal of a tumor in his head which was impairing his vision.
Anokye is a well-known musician in Ghana. Recently, during an interview while speaking to KOFI TV, he discussed about how some of his fans have raised funds in support to help him fly to India for his surgery.
Kofi Adoma, a reporter caught up with him at the Kotoka International Airport when he was about to leave for India. Anokye talked about his condition, talking about the kind gesture of his fans, he stated that despite not being able to see, the love showered on him by the Ghanaians have made him very happy and given him some relief.
The look-alike of Daddy Lumba had developed a tumor in his head, whose position was blurring his vision disabling him from seeing clearly.
Anokye also revealed that he cannot see from his left eye. He also talked about how the problem started saying that it all begin a few weeks back with a severe headache. Soon after he experienced the headache, his vision started getting blurrier each week.
The headache “started in October and I thought it was migraine. I went to the hospital and was told I had a tumor in my head which has caused an enlargement in my left eye,” he said.
After consulting the doctor, he was told that it would cost GHs 12000 for him to undergo the surgery in India. He didn’t had the funds at that time, so he kept on delaying his treatment, then his fans came to his rescue.
