• Dr S. V. Kotwal has extensive experience in all branches of Urology and has performed one of the largest personal series of PCNL in North India (nearly 4000) and 300 renal transplants.
• He pioneered microsurgery in the Armed Forces and has vast experience of Uro-Oncology and Paediatric Urology.
• His work in Endo-Urology and Vascular reconstructions has won him international acclaim.
• He has performed several complicated genito-urinary reconstructive operations including the very recent ‘sex change’ or ‘sex reassignment’ surgery.
• He has conducted operative workshops all over the country and actively participated in regional, national and international professional conferences.
• Dr Kotwal is a recognized post graduate teacher for MS (General Surgery) and M.Ch (Urology) Degrees at the University of Pune and MS Degree at Delhi University.
• He is an examiner and Inspector of the National Board of Examinations and also a visiting Professor of Urology at CMC, Ludhiana and Guwahati Medical College.
