Nanavati Hospital Appoints top management team to boost Rs 400 crore expansion
Mumbai’s reputed Nanavati Hospital is currently working on an Rs 400-crore expansion plan, whose management team has beefed up its goodwill by roping in top professionals, including a new COO, from competing hospitals.
The 66-year-old hospital, recently tied up with Radiant Life Care handing its operations and management to them which is promoted by Abhay Soi, who helped the hospital rope in Dr Rajendra Patankar, the current Chief Operating Officer of Nanavati.
Patankar has 15 years of experience. He has commissioned in seven hospitals and holds an impressive track record. He has worked at Manipal Hospitals, Hinduja Hospital, Fortis Healthcare, Surya Child Care and Aster DM Healthcare. He is the academic board member of the Welingkar's School of Management as well where he handles hospital administration.
The hospital also poached in Promod H Lele, the ex-CEO of Hinduja Hospital who is now appointed as Nanavati’s management advisor. Lele worked as the chief executive at Hinduja Hospital for 11 years.
It has also pulled in Deepak Samant, cost management accountant with more than 25 years of experience, as a CFO. Samant worked at Wockhardt Hospitals as CFO and as a finance director at Hinduja Hospital for almost nine Years.
Dr Mradul Kaushik, Hospital’s executive director, talked about these new changes, "We have embarked on a journey to transform Nanavati as a stand-alone quaternary care hospital of the megapolis, bringing in the best in technology and skills.
"Our plan is to triple the capacity with another 600 beds and more super-speciality wings. All these appointments reflect this motto."
