- Dr Sumit Mrig is India’s youngest Cochlear Implant Surgeon. He has performed over 150 cochlear implants on adults and pediatrics patients from 8 different countries across the globe.
- He pioneered the first independent cochlear implant program in Africa.
- Dr Sumit has also gained recognition for his work in the field of deafness across India and was awarded ‘Bharat Excellence Award’.
- He along with his team performed the first binaural cochlear implant surgery in India in 2011.
- He specializes in performing surgery for sleep apnea, snoring disorder and vertigo disorders. He is also known for treating deafness in pediatrics.
