Dr Sumit Mrig is India’s youngest Cochlear Implant Surgeon. He has performed over 150 cochlear implants on adults and pediatrics patients from 8 different countries across the globe.
He pioneered the first independent cochlear implant program in Africa.
Dr Sumit has also gained recognition for his work in the field of deafness across India and was awarded ‘Bharat Excellence Award’.
He along with his team performed the first binaural cochlear implant surgery in India in 2011.
He specializes in performing surgery for sleep apnea, snoring disorder and vertigo disorders. He is also known for treating deafness in pediatrics.
