- He completed MBBS and MD (Internal Medicine) from LLRM Medical College, Meerut and DM (Gastroenterology) from CMC, Vellore.
- Before Jaypee Hospital, he practiced at Jaswant Rai Speciality Hospital, Meerut as Director, Consultant Gastroenterology, and Hepatology and Head of Endoscopic services.
- In the career span of more than 20 years, Dr. Sharma has gained vast surgical and clinical experience and is a pioneer in EUS and has trained over 100 Gastroenterologists from India & abroad.
- Dr. Malay Sharma has a great expertise in endoscopic interventions and has done more than one lakh endoscopic procedures till date.
- Dr. Sharma has contributed to more than 60 articles published in various national and international journals and is the primary Author of the book- ‘Endoscopic Ultrasound, How To Do?’.
