Captain of Iraq’s Special Forces Underwent Successful Cosmetic Surgery in India

Aqeel Hameed, the Captain of Iraq’s Special forces, came to India to undergo a head and cosmetic surgery after a bullet went through his head damaging half of his face.
He underwent a head surgery in Iraq, however doctors, there were unable to provide him with proper cosmetic treatment which caused a deformity on his face.
The patient received treatment from Dr Vipul Nanda, the head of cosmetic & plastic surgery Department at Artemis Hospital, New Delhi.
Dr Vipul Nanda talked about the patient stating “this is regarding patient Aqeel who suffered a gunshot injury in the right temple region. And there was a contour deformity, and ophthalmos, so his eye was very deeply set in. So, we reconstructed the four walls of the orbit and contoured the entire orbit. Additionally, we have put a fat graft in the upper and lower lips, and for the temple hollowing, we also put fat graft plus”, used some additional techniques.
“The patient is recovering well, and we hope to get very nice results in terms of cosmetic surgery outcome,” he added.
