Mr Dinesh Manoji, made a short visit to the United States of America in 2017, where he started experiencing impairment in his speech, thinking, and felt that something was wrong with him. Upon receiving medical attention, he was recommended to go to the emergency room where a CT Scan was carried out, in which a tumour was detected in his left side of his head.

Further, an MRI was performed on his head which confirmed the presence of a Tumor in his brain’s left lobe.

On doctor’s permission, Mr Dinesh decided to come back to India, and went to Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital in Delhi, and consulted Dr Rajan Shah Director & Head of Neurosurgery (Neuroscience) Department. The doctor recommended him to undergo few tests before the surgery, to ensure if he is fit to proceed with the treatment plan.

Dr Dinesh was briefed about the surgical procedure, as awake neurosurgery was being performed on the patient. During such procedure the patient is given Anesthesia to numb the pain, however, they are not put to sleep. Throughout the surgery, doctors keep talking to the patient to ensure that the impairments are corrected. Mr Dinesh could recall the questions which were asked to him during the operation, and he also remembers thanking the doctors while they were performing the procedure.
