98 Year old Iraq Patient Successfully treated with Heart Bypass Surgery

Medanta-The Medicity in Gurugram, Delhi NCR has managed to perform a successful Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery on a 98-year-old Iraqi patient.
Md. K. Saeed, the patient had been suffering from heart blockages that were preventing the blood supply to his heart from smoothly traveling through his arteries. Saeed had been trying to seek medical attention in Iraq but was unable to find a cure.
At the time, he suffered from 3 major heart blockages, and most doctors in Iraq, refused to treat him because of his advanced age, as it involved innumerable complications.
Saeed’s son then considered traveling to India for treatment. They opted to go to Medanta-The Medicity because of its reputation.
The surgery was supervised by CMD Dr Naresh Trehan at Medanta-The Medicity. Dr Naresh Trehan talked about the patient stating that “We were impressed by his desire to live, and we did four bypass surgeries, which were successful and now he is slowly recovering from the operation”.
